La LLorona - A story of weeping woman(Maria)

It is a real story of a girl who was cheated by her husband and went mad, killed her children and killed herself and And today she is known as La LLorona.

                                              Real Story behind the " La LLorona"                                 

Many years ago a very beautiful girl named Maria lived in a village in Mexico. One day a very rich man came to that village and fell in love with Maria at the first sight and Maria also liked the man so both of them got married and after some time they had two children.

And after a few days, that rich man moved to another city because of his work and after many days he did not come back, which caused Maria to remain unhappy and her health deteriorated. And because of this sorrow, Maria used to just cry day and night, it seemed as if the traces of tears had buried her face.

Then one day Maria gets to know that her husband has married a young and beautiful girl, due to this deception of her husband, Maria went completely mad. And then Maria, angrily killed her both children by drowning them in the river and after that she also gave her life by drowning in the same river.

Then when Maria's soul reached the door of heaven, her soul was returned from there saying that she had killed her innocent children, so until she finds her children, she will not get salvation. And since then, Maria's soul has stuck between the two worlds.

It is said that Maria's soul wanders on the banks of the river and sea and weeps while searching for her children, And because of this, she is known as 'La LLorona'.

It is also said about La LLorona that if  she sees a child alone near a river or sea, first She considers that child her child and apologizes to them. And then, when La LLorona realizes that the child is not hers, she (La LLorona) takes a very scary form and  kills the child by drowning them in the river or the sea.

Many people have heard La LLorona crying. It is said that if a person hears La LLorona crying then that person's bad times begin. and The spirit of La LLorona still wanders near the sea and the river at night, she keeps crying and looking for her children. Because of this it is very dangerous to go to sea and river alone at night because if,  she ('La LLorona') sees a person then she does not leave him alive, or the bad time of that person starts.
